The Wine
Puligny-Montrachet is home to some of the world's most exceptional Chardonnays, including the famous Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, and Bâtard-Montrachet. Puligny-Montrachet encompasses 216 hectares of white wine villages, bordered to the north by Meursault and to the south by Chassagne-Montrachet. Nestled at the foot of the hill lies "Les Referts" between "Les Perrières" and "Les Charmes," benefiting from an ideal southeast exposure. Aged for 8 to 10 months in oak barrels, 50% new.
The Estate
From its birthplace at the foot of the Corton hill, Maison Louis Latour reflects on more than two centuries of Burgundian history. Founded in 1797, the house has become the natural guardian of an ancient tradition. Remaining independent and family-owned has always been a matter of honor, reflecting authenticity to its roots. It is now led by the seventh Louis Latour, representing the eleventh generation since its founding father. Each generation has worked with a visionary and ambitious spirit to preserve this unique heritage while securing the future.
